The Park Charles HOA Board would like to provide an update on what residents can expect following the failure of the proposed amendments to the Park Charles South Covenants & Restrictions.

First, thank you to everyone who took the time to vote, as well as to those who shared questions, concerns, and feedback. Your participation matters, and we sincerely appreciate constructive feedback, ideas, and suggestions that can help improve our neighborhood for everyone.

We also ask for your patience and understanding regarding delays in responding to legitimate questions and concerns. With several recent Board resignations, much of the workload has fallen to the two remaining members, Theresa Leland, Secretary, and Diane Distl, Architectural Control Committee member. Diane has also accepted the role of interim President. Both ladies are balancing their Board responsibilities with their own jobs, families, and other commitments.

The Board’s top priority is working on a process for nominating and electing new Board members for 2027. We have engaged a small group of homeowners, including past Board members, to help us. Due to planned vacations, we will not be meeting until the end of October. Once a reasonable plan has been developed, we will share the details with homeowners through the PCSouth.org website.

Another important priority is to address the divisiveness recently made apparent on our Facebook page. This Facebook Group page has always been a place to share ideas, offer suggestions and get updates about subdivision events. It is our hope, in light of upcoming board elections, that we can return to that. We know the majority of residents want that.

Find the Facebook Group Rules of behavior under "About". It should be near the top of your page. Please review these and help support this type of behavior going forward. If someone ignores the required rules and continues to use this Facebook page to be rude and create dissension, he or she will be blocked.
